It’s been a long time… yeah yeah yeah. I always have an explanation but I’m tired of it feeling like excuses. We all get busy, we all neglect things that we would rather be doing but can’t do because of these things called “Responsibilities” or whatever…
But I was also considering moving the site for a while so I kept blocking myself from posting so I wouldn’t have yet another post to move. I have been somewhat more consistently active on Twitter though, because it’s easier to tweet pics of what I’m eating than doing full recipe posts, but I’m hoping that’s going to change soon.
As for the blog, If you haven’t been here in a while, you’ll notice the new look (so fancy!) and that we’ve got a new custom URL! I’ve also got a backlog of things to post. Just have to find the time to actually write everything out and photograph things. I also want to start taking better photos of food too. So I’m going to slowly be rolling out more changes. It’s not that the iPhone photos are bad, it’s more than I have a dSLR collecting dust and I need to keep my photo skills sharp. I’m thinking it might also help me with being better with food planning.
I’ve gone off the latest diet again too – I think it was cramping my cooking style (even though it probably wasn’t), but I was really missing getting creative in the kitchen for myself. I felt like I could only get creative for others because I was so restricted on what I could and couldn’t eat that when I had the opportunity, I’d run to eating the “bad” things I’ve already posted recipes for. So now it’s getting back around to eating real and finding the time to prepare real food. Which is what the blog was originally built on. I’ve strayed from that, but it’s all a journey. It’s going to take some work to get back to where we were, so please be patient with me. I’m sure it’ll all pay off in the end.
