A few weeks ago, my “museum wifey” and I got together for our usual “date night” of Dollar Tree and dinner. Mer and I bonded in grad school over a love of the Dollar Tree, food, and museums. Plus we took as many classes together as possible. Hence why she is my museum wifey or museum studies life partner.
Anyhoo, she took me to Breads of India, which is a place I’ve been wanting to go to for a while. Imagine my surprise when we found out they had delicious goat curry AND SUPER BONUS: gluten free bread made from chickpeas called besan poora. *fistpump* YESSSSSSS. So much yes.
We shared the chicken tikka that was on the special menu, as well as the goat curry and picked our own breads.
If I’m feeling frisky, I just might try making my own besan poora some day. Just sayin’…
